The capital of Algeria is "Algiers". The Algerian capital was known before (in the past) as Ikosium, than Icosuim. Algiers, which is the capital of Algeria, is the largest city of Algeria, and the second largest city in the Maghreb (behind Casablanca, the capital of Morocco).

Nicknamed "El-Bahdja", or "Alger la Blanche" in French ("Algiers the White" in English) for the glistening white of its buildings as seen rising up from the sea.

Where is situated?
